Account and Connection Limits

This guide explains how your GWN TV account works, what simultaneous connections mean, and what to do if you receive a connection-limit or login-related message.

Your GWN TV Login

Your GWN TV account normally includes:

Enter these details exactly as they were provided. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

Keep your login details private. Anyone with your server address, username, and password may be able to use your service.

What Is a Simultaneous Connection?

A simultaneous connection is one active stream using your GWN TV account.

For example:

The number of devices you can have configured is not necessarily the same as the number of streams you can use at the same time.

Connection Limit Reached

If all available connections are already in use, another stream may fail to start or your player may display a connection-limit message.

Try these steps:

  1. Stop playback on any device you are no longer using.
  2. Force close the IPTV player on that device. Simply backing out of the player or returning to the home screen may leave the stream session active in the background.
  3. Wait 30 seconds to allow the previous stream session to clear.
  4. Open the player again and try starting the new stream.

Why force close? Restarting or reopening the player does not always terminate the previous stream session. A force close makes sure the player process is actually stopped before you try again.

If the problem continues, wait a full 60 seconds after force closing the player and try again before contacting support.

Recording and Connection Limits

Recording may use an additional connection, depending on the player and how the recording is handled.

For example, if your account allows two simultaneous connections and you are:

both available connections may already be in use.

If you then try to start a third stream, it may not play until one of the existing streams is stopped.

Service Works on One Device but Not Another

If your account works on one device but fails on another:

  1. Confirm the second device has a working internet connection.
  2. Check the server address, username, and password carefully.
  3. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after any login detail.
  4. Check whether all available simultaneous connections are already in use.
  5. Close an existing stream and wait 30 seconds.
  6. Try the second device again.

Login Suddenly Stops Working

If your login previously worked and suddenly stops:

  1. Confirm your internet connection is working normally.
  2. Close the IPTV player completely.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Reopen the player and try again.
  5. Check the server address, username, and password.
  6. If possible, test the account on another device or player.

If the same account fails on more than one device, contact GWN TV Support.

Do Not Repeatedly Re-enter Your Password

If the account worked previously and you are certain the login details are correct, repeatedly deleting and re-entering the account may make troubleshooting harder.

Instead:

  1. Check the details once carefully.
  2. Close the player.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Reopen the player and test again.
  5. If the problem remains, contact support.

Changing Devices

You can normally configure your GWN TV account on more than one compatible device, but your simultaneous connection limit still applies.

If you stop watching on one device and move to another:

  1. Stop playback on the first device.
  2. Close the player if you are finished using it.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Start playback on the second device.
